Where are you located? We are located at 200-B Rocco Avenue, just off of South Main Street in Harrisonburg, VA. Only three miles away from Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital (Sentara RMH) and one mile away from Downtown Harrisonburg. 

How close are you to JMU? We are approximately 1/2 mile down South Main Street from James Madison University.

Can I apply online? Yes, you can submit applications online via the "APPLY NOW" button at the top of this page. You will then just need to pay the $75 /person application fee. Please contact the office prior to application to ensure that we have an apartment available for you as the application fee is nonrefundable.

What does the Utility Fee Package include? The additional Utility Fee Package covers gas, water & sewer, pest control, trash removal, and recycling. For our corporate units, we also offer an all-inclusive Utility Fee Package that covers electric, cable, and internet in addition to the other basic utilities.

What are your lease terms? For our unfurnished apartment homes, we offer 6-12 month lease options. On the other hand, we offer month to month leasing on our Corporate Apartments.

How can I reserve an apartment home at your community? Simply fill out our rental application, submit your application and reservation fees, and sign the reservation agreement. If for some reason your application is not approved, your reservation fee is fully refundable.

How much is the application fee? The application fee is a non-refundable $75 fee, for any person 18 years of age or older, that will be residing in the apartment.

How much is your security deposit? The minimum security deposit is $750*. Please keep in mind that the security deposits can fluctuate depending on how you qualify. *subject to change

Can I rent short term? Yes! For a lease of 6 - 11 months on an unfurnished unit, there is an additional charge of $75/month.

What time is move in? Move in is at 4:00 p.m. on the first day of your lease. Please allow enough time to complete some move in paperwork upon your arrival.

Does the city bus come to the property? Yes. There is a bus stop at the end of Rocco Avenue on the southwest corner of the property.

In what school district is Park Apartments located? We are in the W.H. Keister Elementary, Thomas Harrison Middle, and Harrisonburg High School District.

Are the apartments furnished? Yes, we offer beautifully appointed Corporate apartments. Our standard apartments do not come furnished. 

Do you accept housing vouchers? We provide housing opportunities to all prospective residents who meet our resident screening criteria regardless of their Source of Funds.

What are your office hours? Mon - Fri 9:30am - 5:30pm.

When is rent due? Rent is due on the 1st of the month and is considered past due after the close of business on the 5th of the month.

What type of payments do you accept? We accept cashier's, personal or certified checks, and money orders. With a small convenience fee, we can also accept electronic checks and credit or debit cards. Unfortunately no cash, starter or counter checks will be accepted.  

Is there a late fee if I pay my rent after the 5th of the month? Yes, there is a $70 late fee applied after the close of business on the 5th. As a reminder we do not accept personal checks if your rent is paid after the 5th of the month. All late payments must be made with certified funds.

Can I submit maintenance requests online? Yes, non-emergency maintenance requests may be submitted online via our Residents tab. We also provide 24-hour emergency maintenance service via our after-hours telephone service by calling 540-433-2621 and selecting option 3.

My lease is getting ready to expire. What should I prepare for? Your lease will end at 10:00 a.m. on the last day of your lease. We will send you detailed move out instructions well in advance of your move out day.

How soon do you need to know my plans of renewing or vacating my apartment home? Our lease renewal notice period is 90 days before the end of your lease, and we will contact you about your plans prior to that time.

Do you allow pets? Pets are welcome at Park Apartments! We have a 2 pet maximum with no weight limit. Our breed restrictions include purebreds or mixes of Rottweiler, Chow, German Shepard, Doberman, Pitbull, and Wolfe Hybrids. Ferrits are also prohibited. Vet paperwork stating breed and proof that all shots are up to date are also required. 

How much is the pet deposit and is it refundable? The pet deposit is $200 and is refundable less any damage caused by the pet. In addition to the pet deposit, there is a $300 per pet non-refundable pet fee to be paid at move in.

How do I reserve one of the additional storage spaces offered to residents? All of our additional storage spaces are given on a first come, first serve basis. If we have one available, you can use the area during your lease term and will have to provide your own pad lock. 

Where is school bus stop for Park Apartments residents? The city school buses stop at the entry to Park Apartments on Rocco Avenue.
