Laura Mello

Laura Mello serves as the Property Manager of Park Apartments in Harrisonburg, Virginia, under Great Eastern Management Company. She has been working in property management in the Harrisonburg area since 2023 and officially joined Great Eastern Management Company in early 2025. Laura oversees daily operations at Park Apartments, focusing on resident relations, maintenance coordination, and ensuring a positive living environment for the community.

Laura is local to the Shenandoah Valley and a graduate of Turner Ashby High School. Shortly after graduation, she enlisted in the United States Army, where she was stationed in Texas and later deployed for a tour in Iraq. Following her military service, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology before transitioning into the housing and real estate industry.

Her passion for helping people find safe and comfortable homes is what led her to property management and eventually to a dual career in real estate. As a licensed Realtor, Laura enjoys being actively engaged in the community through homeownership advocacy and local housing needs.

Outside of work, Laura is a mother and values family time above all else. Whether attending local events, volunteering, or simply spending quiet time at home, she appreciates being part of the same community she helps serve professionally.

Eddie Gil

Eddie is the Leasing Consultant and Marketing Coordinator for Great Eastern Management Company. He joined the company in early 2025, bringing with him over seven years of experience in Property Management and a passion for culture, creativity, and innovation.

Originally from abroad, Eddie moved to the Shenandoah Valley in 2017 and quickly fell in love with its breathtaking landscapes and vibrant community. He is a graduate of the International English Program from Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) and a foreign-trained dentist currently pursuing his dental degree in the U.S., bringing both global perspective and dedication to serving others.

Eddie’s appreciation for culture and connection extends beyond his professional life—he has traveled to Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, and Canada, experiences that have enriched his understanding of diverse communities and strengthened his approach to tenant care.

Outside of work, Eddie enjoys hiking the Valley’s scenic trails with his dog, savoring coffee (almost every two hours), and spending countless hours in the kitchen cooking and experimenting with new recipes.

Chris Orndorff

Chris Orndorff is our Maintenance Supervisor at Park Apartments. Before he started in maintenance, Chris was in the Virginia State Apprenticeship program working in electrical and commercial HVAC services. He was also a DC power specialist, where he serviced and installed back up power systems. He began his maintenance career taking care of four commercial office buildings in Richmond, where he was born and raised. Chris has been with Great Eastern Management Company for many years and he is an essential part of our community.

When Chris is not out working hard on maintenance tasks, he enjoys fishing and spending time with his family. He also likes to spend his time volunteering to help his friends with disabilities on any maintenance issues they are having in their own homes.

Steve Moore

Meet Steven “Mike” Moore, a dedicated maintenance technician and proud native of Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Mike's journey in maintenance is enriched by his background in plumbing and HVAC, two skill sets that add a valuable dimension to his ability to troubleshoot and repair. Whether it's fixing a leaky faucet or ensuring the smooth operation of complex systems, Mike's expertise is grounded in a thorough understanding of plumbing and HVAC intricacies.
Outside of the maintenance world, Mike is an avid outdoorsman, spending his free time hiking and fishing.
Mike's easygoing demeanor and genuine love for his hometown make him not just a skilled maintenance technician but a respected member of the community.
